Is there an other good & secure link for AIS (not AV) old version ?
As far I'm concerned I have some old version but I can see lot of users need to get back without old setup saved.

Done and also disable popups. Still seeing those damn popups from time to time.

I know, I had that older version already saved. But oldapps states to have version 1497, the last, and that's a deception.

Use the mirror link as the main site will always try to deliver the current version.

1. First select the old version that you want (see image1).

2. Use the FileHippo Mirror link, not the Download This Version button or text.

OK, The mirror link is fine (8.0.1497.376) but the link that states 125,81 MB points to the wrong download of 81,5 MB.

As I said don't use the main site download link (use the Mirror download in the order I mentioned), regardless of what it says it will always download the latest avast version, currently avast 9 @ 81.5MB.

The avast 9 installation file is smaller as the virus definitions database has been optimised, resulting in a reduced size,

Switched on pc this morning, avast as started saying suspicious item for a few windows apps(tiles) for winodws 8.1, what should I do, add to exclusion or delete them?. Name of item is APOD.exe, it does sound suspicious so I don't blame avast, what a stupid thing to call it if its not a virus. I don't have a clue what app it was I cant see any missing, so its only removed the exe. Its a brandnew release intended for win 8.1 users so they can carry on using there fav antivirus, the main focus as been getting it to run on win8.1 give them time, there wil be a patch/fix, they will be working as we type.

Your download worked as you followed  the directions in my post Reply #382 with the images and you confirmed that it had.

My post was directly to 'ManfromUN' the post above it, who was reporting getting the 81.5mb download despite clicking on 8.0.1497 of 125MB download for avast 8.

If it isn't directly to the one above it then I quote what it is I'm responding to.
