virus definition folder

hi there! I have a very simple question. where is avast virus definition folder? I want to exclude it from my toolwiz time freeze, which restores everything except folders I choose.
I am using windows 8.1 pro x64 my avast product is internet security!

avast program folder (program, virus definition folder): C:\Program Files\AVAST Software
avast data folder (logs/configuration/...): C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software
when avast updates drivers, they are also updated in Windows folder: C:\Windows\system32\drivers
I'm also not sure if your time freeze software don't revert also settings in registry, avast uses: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\AVAST Software
what about DeepFreeze time freeze software? I think it works well with Avast.

Why not exclude everything from avast when restoring a image ?
With excluding the vps you only do just that.
What about application updates, changes in settings etc ?

thanks for quick support! My purpose is just about virus definitions because they change everyday. if registry and program need updates (sendomly), I simply  reboot and everything should be fine. so, your answer should be enough for me.
