Please, skin developers...
I suggest the download of other languages than English...
Lots of dialogs do not fit into the windows of Simple User Interface...
English is quite a language to write applications...
Others use more words and more space to say the same...

Hi Technical,

I fixed area for select "Floppies". In Spanish was a problem with long word "Disqueteras"
Do you know about other problems with other languages?
You could send me screenshots via e-mail.

All this troubles were corrected in Portuguese translation. When it was impossible to fit, I change the words used. Igor has the Passolo files of the last version I have sent to him  8)

If I found something strange, I'll post (or send an email to Igor  ;D)

Technical,

I like the new skins, especially Wide Screen and Red Circle, which I'm now using.

I did notice one oddity though.  After downloading and copying them to the ...\Skin directory, they weren't listed in the Simple Interface.  However, after double-clicking on each one to have a look-see, I went back to the SI, and they were listed.

Anyway, thanks to the skin developers.  :)

I suppose the skins must be installed not just copied. Double clicking will install the acws file. The key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ALWIL Software\Avast\4.0 will be updated with the name of new skin as a value. When I translated avast! I remember that some "error messages" were related with "wrong" skin packages (a part is missing, the package is broken...). So, I suppose your computer is working ok.  ;)

Not only that, Hornus Continuum, just keep on clicking that *.aswcs file! For instance you can put shortcut to it on your Desktop or as many as you like and start Avast! with skin to suit your mood! No more splash scren, no more iNews telling you that .278 version is available while you have .280 installed! Qf course, this one is just for REAL fans.  ;D

The Skin Glass plate release recently, does not allow the mouse Right Click to get Context Menu when running a scan test ("Go to backgroud" for instance) or the Menu (whithout running the scan). These options could only be accessed by a button (triangle on the left up corner).

I've tried to download the new skin, deleted the files from avast! Data/Skin folder but the problem remains...  :'(
