via the gui didn't remove the plugin.. :|

Avast should have added a way to remove the plugin via the GUI without having to do a change to avast.. :/

The plugin would be in your browser, you should be able to disable it from there. Now I don't know if having disabled it in the browser and unchecked it in the avast UI, if it will be removed on the next reboot.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.4.6112 (build 24.4.9067.762) UI 1.0.803/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

Thanks David :)  I just don't like the browser plugin mostly because the position where i had it at first.. (Next to the downloads button) It got moved back to the default location after a firefox restart.. Have you had this issue as well?

The "reputation services" include the anti-phishing protection.  :)

Nope it is where I put it (next to my WOT icon) some considerable time ago.

The plugin icon isn't keeping its position in firefox for me at all though.  I can move to where i want, then when close firefox and restart firefox the plugin's icon is right back to the default location which is to the right of the bookmarks icon on the toolbar..

Stays for me, where are you trying to place it ?

Why not try changing the firefox layout, as you can see from my image (I have a minimalist layout to give more space), I don't have the menu bar displayed - you can get it using the alt key if you need it. I don't know if that may help or not or if you are already doing that.

I also use the Nuvola theme, which is a smaller compact theme.

I see what you're saying. I tried it, then closed and reopened the browser. The icons reverted back to their previous positions.

I wonder if avast team knows about this issue or not. It gets annoying when you want the icon in a different location then the when you restart firefox the icon is back to where it was before you moved it.
