Why is Avast blocking?
« on: October 24, 2013, 01:50:53 PM »
Why is the new version of Avast blocking disqus and Google ads in firefox but not in Chrome?

I want to be able to view disqus and non intrusive ads such as google ads when I view websites. I'd also like to view ads on video sites like youtube so uploaders won't stop sharing their content.

Do I really have to use that sidebar thing on every website to turn on disqus?

And why won't Avast display ads even if you set it to allow it?

The browser plugin is really bad and blocks way to much. I ended up disabling it ad-tracking and social-site blocking features, as it was simply to aggressive and with to many false positives.

One man's treasure -> other man's crap. Extremely happy with the plugin, could in fact remove all other extensions blocking the "social" junk I have absolutely zero use for.
