I have been using the free version and cannot remove it from my machine at all. I try thru control panel and repeatedly get a message that aswRunDll.exe has some sort of problem and would I like to send a report to Microsoft. Nope, I do not. I tried also in safe mode, to no avail and trying to remove all of the folders from the program files also brings up issues with refusal to budge them. I have already opened Avast, gone thru the troubleshooting section and instructed it to not do the self protect thing (or whatever the name of it was) with the exact same result. I simply want this off my machine for good. I have Windows XP complete with updates and recently did system restore to correct other errors as I had a corrupted browser. Anyone with good ideas before I tear out all of my hair?
