Looks to me it was a temporary file from a update.

Whats Norton got to do with it?

Norton installed, had it been uninstalled properly using their removal tool... or simply from Add/Remove programs?

Davy, it is a tool not the av from Symantec.

It's not a standalone product, but part from another Symantec product. What is your point? The file clearly comes from avast.com. If it's part of update, what program it belongs to?

Correct, Insight is part of an AV suite which should not be installed alongside Avast ( or any other AV).

The file being queried is used in the Avast update process and is not left on the system.
