How to remove Avast! Online Security Icon / Symbol from Firefox Toolbar?

I tried to remove the icon from the toolbar but after restarting Firefox it appears again!

I dont want to delete or deactivate the Security Addon, I just dont want to see this green icon with notifications.

This is so annoying! Why didnt you add an option to disable the icon?

I guess you already tried to drag and drop AOS icon to the Customize window ?

Removing the icon to the customise window doesn't work for me either as it returns on browser restart.  Of course without the icon there there is nothing to click/no notification of information so disabling in the add-ons window is the way to go.

Same thing in IE 11.  This is a real pain.  It takes up valuable real estate and is totally unnecessary.  At least allow us to move it and lock it down so upon restart it doesn't open another toolbar.
