« on: October 21, 2013, 04:29:48 PM »
Just updated to the new version, however windows is reporting that AV internet security is not turned on. When trying to turn on the warning still is there ??  Glitch ??

What windows version and service pack?
There is a bug in the security center that can cause this behavior.
Often 1 or two more reboots solves it.

It fixed for me on 7 after about 4 or 5 reboots, the latter I left it for about 30 mins as well and now it's recognizing them as being on, had me worried for a moment when I posted about this yesterday but it does right itself, I was assured that whilst the firewall and av are said to be off they are in fact working and protecting your computer.

What you don't mention is avast Internet Security actually running ?

If so then the glitch is on the windows action centre side.
Try rebooting a couple of times and see if the WAC corrects this.

Are you trying to turn it on from what interface, avast or windows action centre ?
What windows version are you running ?
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

Same here although this is nothing new as it happens after some updates. Usually rectifies itself.
Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) SP1,
Intel Core i5-2410M @2.30GHz, 6GB RAM
AvastFree Antivirus & ZoneAlarm Free.
