Win32 jeefo
« on: October 05, 2003, 01:18:11 PM »
Hi,
A friend of my is infected with this virus.
I installed avast because he didn't had any antivirus software on his computer.
About all of his files are infected so deleting them will delete all of his programmes etc.
Must i delete all files or installing windows all over?
Or is there an other solution?
Thx,
Rob

Hm, do not know that Virusname. Maybe your friend try to get a second name by using this link: http://www.kaspersky.com/remoteviruschk.html

An antivirusprogramm should be able to clean the infected files in safe mode. But it  will not be able to get it back to its orginal, so you do not know if the Programms still work( as they should). Deciding to setup the pc new is not the worst decision.
