Hi, I've repeatedly been receiving alerts from Avast that it has blocked the above "threat" that appears in the subject line.  It indicates URL Mal.  I understand that to mean that it has intercepted some malware.  Am I correct in assuming that?  Does anyone know anything about this address and can I shut off notifications after being notified initially that the threat has been intercepted and placed in the "virus chest" I believe was the terminology that was used.

Thank you,

I appreciate any help provided.

When are these alerts appearing?

If you have no browser open that could indicate a malware infection.

If so follow this guide and attach logs: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

Needed are ADWCleaner, Malwarebytes, OTL and aswMBR.
