How to disable Avast auto-message
« on: November 16, 2013, 11:40:14 PM »
Hello,

I use Outlook as my e-mail client  along with the Free Avast version and lately I have noticed that my outgoing mail messages have an automatic tag line ("") appended to the bottom of every message.

How do I disable this?

Thanks

Jon

Can I suggest you use Thunderbird? I have Thunderbird at work, and I don't have any messages appearing from Avast.

@JonJal,

No need to change your email program:

In the avast! main window, go to "Settings" -> "Active Protection" -> "Mail Shield" (click the gear icon) - > "Behavior"  . . .

Under the General heading check and/or un-check the options that you want.

It had nothing to do with fixing the OP's issue.  :)

I tried looking at the settings as described above and it is not checked despite the message appearing in my Thunderbird emails.
