PcHealthBoost has ruined my laptop
« on: October 25, 2013, 09:14:48 AM »
Hello,

The big mistake I made that I installed the PcHealthBoost on my laptop. The bogus ads that I saw and believed that PcHealthBoost can enhance the functioning of my laptop. Though there was no need as the laptop was already working fine.

At last have to uninstall the PcHealthBoost but still I am facing problems with my laptop.

I want to know that it is a kinda malware or what. The laptop is not at all working properly and even simple browsing has also become tough.

Please help.

It is very unlikely that PC HealthBoost has destroyed your laptop. This is probably from something else.

If you check out the VirusTotal scan, you'll see that it is clean with all 44 major antivirus programs, including avast!

Here is a current scan of the file: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/046805851cbd0b15ca3dda8e99b5291a3f0d2049e41191fefe9dc0f333b28e51/analysis/

avast! also shows as having PCHB whitelisted with avast in June 4, 2013 with customer service rep, Miroslav Jenšík.

They are also regularly monitored through other sources.

They also show contact information here.

The problem I was facing was never before I installed the Pchealthboost and to my agony I am even not able to install adwcleaner and other products to do the trick for me.
I have already sent the computer to the service centre. Hope I can get it back in the condition it was before :(
