So, I've been running Avast for about 2.5 months for now, and it normally does what I want it to do; Stay out of my way until I fuck up on the internet. However, recently I've been having some problems that I hadn't been having previously, mainly because I do a lot of cool things on my home network with Linux/etc.
So basically, Synergy and Samba aren't working, and without going through the crazy journey that led me to my conclusions as to why they aren't, let me just tell you what the problem so that one of you Avast savvy peeps can help me out:
The machine I'm running Avast on isn't responding to SYN requests on port 24800 or doing anything with NBNS packets (The windows workgroup protocol thingy).
Anyway, if any of you know how to enable these kinds of traffic (preferably tied to a specific IP address), please let me know.
