2014 and Outlook express
« on: October 28, 2013, 01:10:19 PM »
Hi, can anyone help? Since updating to 2014, I cannot download emails from my Yahoo account into Outlook express. If I disable mail shield, all is ok. I tried unchecking ssl scanning, but no change. My OE seems to use port 110 for incoming mail and not 995 as Avast had it, but changing the port to 110 made no difference, do I have deleted my Yahoo account from the mail accounts list and still cannot download.
Thanks

Thanks Eddy, tried that, no change. Thinking of reverting back to 8, at least that worked  ;)

Ok, it was worth giving it a try. At least we have ruled out a possible cause.
Too bad you went back to version 8, I (and most likely others as well) would have tried to help you solving the problem.
I hope you will tell us at least the following things as they may be helpful to find out where it/what went wrong.
What os/service pack are you using?
What version of avast are you using? (free, pro or....)
What version of OE?
