How to remove virus in linux server using Avast AV
« on: October 28, 2013, 01:38:11 PM »
I have one linux server that it was affected by some malwares so i have installed your free antivirus software and I have scanned the particular directory in the linux and it shown the statistics as like below,

# scanned files:     7540
# scanned directories:     318
# infected files:     19
# total file size:     169.2 MB
# virus database:     131022-1 22.10.2013
# test elapsed:     39s 564ms

It was showing 19 infected files are there. Now my question is how to remove the virus from the infected files.

I have tried this "avast --continue=3" but it is deleting the whole infected files.

Which command to be use to clean the virus from infected files.

Can you help me to fix it.

Thanks in advance.

Name of virus? Type of files? Location of files?

Type: avast --help    in the commandline to see what options are.

Also of course answer FreewheelinFrank's enquiry  ;)

all the best
