aswRvrt error, can't boot with the OTLPENet disc
« on: November 01, 2013, 04:43:51 AM »
My computer started acting incredibly slow - timing out on simple functions such as opening Windows Explorer, etc... so I tried booting to safe mode & experienced the issue of hanging while trying to load aswRvrt.sys. So I tried to follow the initial steps in the sticked topic & created a boot disc with OTLPENet.exe. When I try boot with it however, I get a blue screen stating that I need to run chkdsk (STOP: 0x0000007B).

I was able to boot normally and got the computer to run chkdsk & it found no errors. So now I'm at a bit of an impasse. The computer runs too slow to do anything, and I get the blue screen error whenever I try to use the boot disc.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like a hard drive failing..

What sort of chkdsk did you do ?
