How come 'istartsurf' cannot be removed with avast?
« on: August 09, 2014, 02:31:52 AM »
Hi,

when I purchase avast, I was expecting it to be able to get rid of the malware, but it's still there.

How come?

It is not malware but PUP = not virus / Possible Unwanted Program ..... crap that usually follow with freeware downloads

Avast PUP detection is default off exept for in boot scan,  so if you want pup detection turn it on

No security program have 100% detection.....
If avast does not clear it, you have a option

And most users here have avast and malwarebytes installed......
