One problem with the Online Security extension

Hello.
I am using the French edition of avast! (2014.9.0.2006).
Now for some time I had been experiencing a problem when visiting play.com website with Google Chrome: after I entered anything in the "search" field and went "Search", nothing happened, except that "#" appearing in the address field after the "/" in "www.play.com/".
Now I just found that disabling the Online Security extension makes the website functional again for me with Google Chrome.
Maybe there's something you can do about this?

PS I forgot to mention it also applies to Safari and Firefox.

I just did update using the updater function, but to no avail: same problem.
