Avast at Startup - HELP please

I used to, at windows startup, have a portion of the  Avast program run all the time. with something like 7 different parts protecting me. its gone now. how can i bring this real time protection back? thanks!

also, thinking about it now, I believe I disabled it once in order to install some program that requested that anti-virus programs be disabled temporarily. can't remember what it was, but it was a reputable company, so i knew it was safe to disable it. but now I can't figure out how to get it back...

Okay, I did some research of my own. It's the Resident Protection that seems to not be functioning at the moment. I have it set on "High," and in the Run->Msconfig->services window, an Avast! service is checked off as enabled, but it still isn't coming up at Windows startup. Any help would be most appreciated.

Can you try to repair your installation?
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove
Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair).
You must be connected to the internet while repairing.

If this does not help, can you uninstall / boot / install / boot again?
