What happened to the shields? [DONE]

Hey guys Fox again.

Just started using internet security and I remember when I first tried !avast I could see the shields in action. It seems in the 2014 version you cant. Was it because it affected performance? Also how do you install the web addons when using 2014? It's usually contained in the settings but I've been unable to find it.
