Windows 8.1 update has deleted avast internet security
« on: November 14, 2013, 05:12:44 PM »
Hi
Im baffled how this could ever happen! Nothing should be able to delete a security software surely.
It was installed on my 64bit laptop.
Im not going to pay for another year and havent got any license details. im finding it very hard to contact avast about this.
Has anyone any suggestions? or any phone numbers that i can call instead of going through all the rigmarole of getting past from one to another on the other end of the phone?

Please help

Thanks

What avast version did you have installed (8.0.x or 9.0.x) when you updated to windows 8.1 ?
If you didn't have avast 9.0.x then the win8.1 update would remove it.
