Problem continue, it keeps scanning FrameWork.log using 80 or more of the cpu.

the file is framework.log and is in c:\windows\system32\webm\logs

every time the "problem" happens i find avast scanning this file


next week (i hope) i'll have the new pc, i'll let you know.

It is a legitimate file http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/wmisdk/wmi/framework_log.asp if you are using a program that uses the .NET framework. Having said that I have .NET framework 1.1 installed but I don't have a FrameWork.log file. What are you using at the time (programs that require .net framework)when this log is accessed, causing the 80% CPU activity?

You can exclude the FrameWork.log in the Standard Shield > Advanced > exclusions.
