For Rootkits GMER or Kaspersky TDSS Killer.

For Keyloggers i dont know. Please wait for an malware expert, they work almost daily with these programs.

Who does GMER work for ?

And who did the avast anti-rootkit scan (8 minutes after boot) and who built the aswMBR.exe ?

None other than Mr GMER himself ;D

To me this is another post simply made to solicit posts. Not anything that really needs to be asked
since the answer is obvious.

+1 Agreed especially since you have the option to create a scan for a "full rootkit" scan.  :)
Dell Inspiron, Win10x64--HP Envy Win10x64--Both systems Avast Free v17.9.2322, Comodo Firewall v8.2 w/D+, MalwareBytes v3.0, OpenDNS, Super Anti-Spyware, Spyware Blaster, MCShield, Unchecky, Vivaldi Browser and, various browser security tools.

Hi guys!

After restart of my PC Avast detected a rootkit and advice was to delete it right away, so I did.
Of course I did a start up scan with Avast, nothing was detected.
But to be quite sure I want a DEEP scan for rootkits and keyloggers.

Thanks for the replies so far!

Best regards, Hermie
