specifying program/file combos that are intrinsically safe

Hello,

Does anyone know if there is a way to specify a program/filename pair, that would always allow 'program' to write to 'filename'.  For instance, I would like the auto-update feature of Avast to be able to write to its own files, but not allow any other program to write to those files, which unfortunately is allowed by the current advanced features.  This would also prohibit just any appplication from writing to the registry, as these files are also right now explicitly marked as non-detected.

Thanks,
Dave A.
