I deleted avast! from pc

Dear,


After the problem with my Home Network, avast! was blocking some sites.

Even on this forum, I couldn't preview my posts.

Since I installed a Free AV, I have no problems anymore.

Together with 2 friends, we are testing Panda, Avira and Comodo Free.

Until the update 2014, I was very satisfied with avast! Internet Security.

Sorry, but I'm tired waiting a whole minute before having access to an Internet Site, or having no access at all.

What is your OS?
Any other security software?
If uninstalled how was it uninstalled?

If you want our help we need more info. 
We can't help you fix what we don't know.  ???

Hi Para-Noid,

Thanks for your reply.

My OS : Win7 SP1
My Browser : Firefox

I deleted avast! with avastclear.

And I only had A.I.S. 2014 running.

did you use removal tools to remove previous used AV to be sure all leftover files was gone?

Hi Pondus,

I deleted via the Control Panel.  After that, I deleted the remnants on my C: partition > Program Files.

it is recomended to use the vendors removal tool to clear leftovers as this is what the tool is made fore and knows where to find installed files

I cleaned the AV files as you recommended and re-installed A.I.S. Pondus.

It seems to go better now, no blocked sites, but some sites still are difficult to open (time : one minute).  Until here no further problems.

I'll be back.
