Comments on Websites Not Working

I'm not sure if this is even caused by Avast, but I think it started happening after an Avast update.  The comments section on many of the news websites is not coming up on my screen anymore.  The screen itself is there, but there's nothing in it.

Does anyone have any idea how I could figure out what the problem is?  Thank you!!

Good start would be to advise what Operating system you have, exactly what version of Avast (Help-About Avast) what browser you are using. If you can nominate a web site where this is happening and provide a screen shot of what you are seeing, it might also help.
