Is a non malicious joke a real virus?

This might be so because the removal from the OS can be problematic.

joke is not included in the nomenclature for detection of avast.
Joke (joke) is a program that, while not malicious, cause fear in the user locks the computer or simply tests the patience of the victim.Jokes are common among the famous program "Your computer is being formatted" and web pages that open thousands of pop-up flash animations that go across the screen.

OK, I understand joke is blocked because it can lead to real panic by some users.
See example: http://www.quopic.com/funny-quotes-about-life/funny-trolling-reading-eye-test-wallpaper/ (if you have no glasses  ;D)
But it seems difficult to remove this from the OS and that is why it is flagged as unwanted virus (non-malicious).
