Can I block a specific website from my Firefox?
« on: November 29, 2013, 07:49:11 PM »
I am running the following
AVAST Free V2014.9.0.2008
Win7 Home Premium
Firefox V25.0.1
Thunderbird V24.1.1

I had this problem before when my system was running XP Pro, FF, Tbird and AVAST

When I open my Tbird it opens an RSS feed that forces the Twitter.widget.log.helper (https://platform.twitter.com/jot.html) to open a blank tab on Firefox.  >:(
It does the same with other RSS feeds and other email and browser apps, so it is Twitter, not the apps at fault.

Nobody so far has a solution. :(

Is there a way for AVAST to absolutely (without notification) BLOCK that URL?  Like it would a virus site, but not notify me.

That would lead to my better sanity. :-*
