Avast 7.0.1474

My pc boots up fine , desktop and icons all there but most of the time  it will not load any internet -it just freezes on the eggtimer .  The avast orange icon fails to spin when it freezes. after several -switch off and switch on- restarts it eventually loads up properly and the icon spins and everything is fine. I normally leave the PC in standby and do not dare switch off. Help please.

I suggest you install the latest version of Avast. Avast 2014.

1) Run avast uninstall utility.

2) Run avast Cleanup Tool from here http://rejzor.wordpress.com/avast-cleanup-tool/

Run avast cleanup tool in normal mode. After it finishes clean up. Restart your computer again.

After installing a fresh new copy of avast 2014, register, and restart your computer again.

- remove your current installation (which is really old) with avastclear
- Install the latest version (2014.9.0.2008)
