Duplicate send messages on Thunderbird

 When sending emails using Thunderbird there are two messages saved in the Send folder: one with the Avast virus check message and a second one without that message. Wondering if perhaps this has something to do with the new Avast 2014 version?  :-\

I am sure i have seen this reported before.....but cant remember how an if it was solved
