Two more good free anti-spyware programs are Yahoo! AntiSpy (licensed from Pest Patrol, I believe) and X-Cleaner Free:

Yahoo! Anti-Spy: http://toolbar.yahoo.com/
X-Cleaner Free: http://www.xblock.com/download-freeware.php

Hi inconnu,

I have put your Red Sheriff Code hosts into my hosts file with the aid of hostess. Works in a jiffy, so many added, so many duplicates omitted. Small sweat.  We are exchanging a lot of useful information here. What I have learned here in the field of security and AV in particular over the last month, it is truly amazing. Thank you all my good fiends,

best greetings from,

polonus

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

Word of advice, don't try to get the beta yahoo antispy for firefox cause that will make firefox slow when you want to run it.
