Can't access public networks - avast 2014

a: you're not unprotected when you disable the browser online security plugin, just less privacy usage-tracking features will be enabled and you won't see site reputation in google results etc. There's currently an ongoing issue with AOS plugin and IE. Removing the plugin or using another browser seems the only solution (apart from updating to the beta) for now.

b: in my experience the firewall can be buggy in Avast 2014. I've removed it from the installation and use the default Windows firewall. You might consider doing the same if removing the browser plugin does not help.

Disabeling the browser add-ons does not make a difference, I've tried.
There is no firewall in my version of Avast, I am already using Windows Firewall.

Si I am awaiting the solutions coming from the beta project.

My problem is resolved instaling 2014 R2 Beta 2014.9.0.2010 over 9.0.2008 and also it now works enabling avast! Online Security and avast! Ad Blocker.

The new 2014.0.9.2011 did'nt solved my problem either...

Everything runs a lot smoother though.

Are other peoples problems solved?
