AboutBuster comes after CWShredder halts
« on: June 15, 2005, 09:11:50 PM »
Hi friends,

AboutBuster is a specialized automated malware removal tool, that can be run against variants of "Home Search Assistant". It has a good track record by now, but on other problems it has no effects. If your homepage is still being hijacked to a page beginning with res:// and a random .dll file in the name, you may well have fallen victim to this  "Home Search Assistant trojan". If other anti-malware tools are to no avail, get AboutBuster at  http://www.malwarebytes.biz/AboutBuster5.zip for tutorial, and http://www.besttechie.net/tools/AboutBuster5.zip.
It is extremely important to update AboutBuster database  before you use it. Then run the scan and follow instructions.
A nice program by a fifteen year old student, named Ducky, now that Merijn Bellekom discontinued CWShredder, because it demanded to much of him, and the new variants of it became too intricate. 2700 e-mails were a bit too much for the man.

greets,
