AboutBuster comes after CWShredder halts
« on: June 15, 2005, 09:11:50 PM »
Hi friends,

AboutBuster is a specialized automated malware removal tool, that can be run against variants of "Home Search Assistant". It has a good track record by now, but on other problems it has no effects. If your homepage is still being hijacked to a page beginning with res:// and a random .dll file in the name, you may well have fallen victim to this  "Home Search Assistant trojan". If other anti-malware tools are to no avail, get AboutBuster at for tutorial, and
It is extremely important to update AboutBuster database  before you use it. Then run the scan and follow instructions.
A nice program by a fifteen year old student, named Ducky, now that Merijn Bellekom discontinued CWShredder, because it demanded to much of him, and the new variants of it became too intricate. 2700 e-mails were a bit too much for the man.
