Rescue disc needs much improving
« on: December 24, 2013, 08:17:14 AM »

I found avast! Rescue disc integrated into antivirus is almost useless. On the one hand it's very cool, because it using Windows PE, on the other hand avast Rescue disc is only a boot time scanner. Other vendors have a Linux based Rescue discs and they offer much more than only scanner. They have integrated browser, registry editor, file manager and lots of all. So, avast Rescue disc needs improving.

Considering Avast history they dont seem to have applied their usual effort. However the previous PAID version to this was more what you wanted - i was interested in the event log access to offline Windows which I've not seen in all my familiarity with boot discs.
