Updating is all broken. I'm stuck with 131212-0 and when i check for update manually, it updates to 131216-1 just to remain at 131212-0. And all the further update attempts spit out an error (Unknown error).

Maybe it's a sync issue? Repair will fix that if it is that.

Must be broken then. Hopefully they'll get that fixed and the virus update notifications fixed too (VPS)

When avast start updating and ur pc loose its power (for exable electricity goes down suddenly) , ur update will be currupted. The only fix is reinstall for scranch.

It was working fine, i've updated stable release to RC and it started doing that. I never lost any power during updates or anything like that.

Hey SpeedyPC, are you sure your username is proper?  ;D ;D ;D

OT: Yes because my laptop is bloody fast and very proud of my current user name, otherwise if it turn out slow than I may have to rename my user name to 'SlowestPC' ;D

Ok, I'll get that. I have emailed you before so I'm going to use that to send in the dump file(s).

Hi Lord Ami,
are you still able to reproduce that? Could you please send me (zipped) your logs folder? ("C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\log\")
If you are able to reproduce, could you please try that with a more verbose logs enabled?
Create a file "StreamFilter.ini" in the "C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\" folder with the following lines:

[Common]
FileLogLevel=0
RecordInput=1

Restart avast! Service, then try to reproduce the problem. When it occurs send us zipped the "nsf" subdirectory that gets created in the Avast's Programdata folder. (at least input.xml and input.dat files)
Thanks a lot, we are trying to find the cause for that - we have made a fix for the CPU usage problem, but actually it must be caused by something that we still fail to understand

Okay, going to give it a try. Will report back asap. Too bad that after I open browser, CPU usage gets high and system becaomes pretty much unusable. But I'll try my best :)!

I had exactly the same symptoms with my machine and version .2009, see:
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=141887.msg1030809#msg1030809
After 3-4 days the system updated by itself and showed just the normal behaviour without me being involved.
