Avast "As Is"???

When I opened MS Explorer it asked me whether I wanted to enable Avast As Is?  What is this?  Is there any reason not to do so?  And if so what should I do given that I enabled it?

That would be Avast Online Security ( AOS ) the browser plugin, the plugin gives you the option to block Phishing, Tracking, Social network features and gives the site ratings on internet searches.

You can enable or disable via right clicking the tool bar and Avast online Security should be listed there.
