Windows 8
« on: December 30, 2013, 01:51:36 AM »
I haven't looked here for quite a while, but when last here I noted quite a few issues with Avast and Windows 8 (BSOD amongst other things). Have these problems been ironed out now? I ask this as I will need to change to a new PC soon and Windows 8 will be almost inevitable, even though I hate the look of it. I guess I may be able to get a PC built with Windows 7, but I wonder how long that will be supported. Not as long as faithful XP had I'd guess.
Thank you.

I'm running the latest Avast! on Windows 8.1, with everything updated (though not all the Avast! Tools installed; I unchecked some of them I don't need during installation), and so far for me it's stable.  I haven't had a crash ever.
