why avastium.log and selfdef.log has no file size limits?

using avast 9.0.2011 free (latest)
windows xp sp3 x86.
------------------------------------------------------------------
avast keep its log files here- (for WinXP )
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVAST Software\Avast\log
There are several files here, and i think they have a MAX FILE SIZE LIMIT too.

User can set the max log file size limit via
avast UI>>settings>>General>>logs>>Max file size of each logs
and i have set this to 500 KB.

But i notice that the two log files "avastium.log" and "selfdef.log" keep growing beyond this limit.
The "avastium.log" was 5 mb larger in my last installation.

Also they are not deleted by itself after a number of days.

and i m unable to delete them (even ccleaner was not able to delete them).

The setting for MAX LOG SIZE LIMIT should cover all logs.
I just want to ask why these two files does not have any file size limit?

thanks!
