Does anyone know how to completely uninstall iYogi
« on: January 01, 2014, 08:02:36 PM »
Went to programs and hit uninstall.  Now there is no wireless or hard connection to get on internet.  Says wireless adapter needs updating.  There is a program of iYogi that I cannot uninstall.   Anyone know how to do it?

Thanks

Download and run the free version of Revo Uninstaller.

Download and run the free version of Revo Uninstaller.

As I recall, the free version or Revo does not handle 64 bit applications fully, where as the Pro (buy) version does.
Not sure whether that is relative in this situation though.

Avast is not a 64-bit application.

Revo free won't even show it in the programs list if it is.

It is showing in the list on a Windows 7 SP1 Home Premium 64 bit system.

Revo free should work fine.

Thanks.

I'm well aware of that.
The OP said "There is a program of iYogi that I cannot uninstall".
I wondered if as part of iYogi's support, they had installed some extra software and my comment was in relation to that, not avast.

I'm confused of what you mean of uninstalling "iYogi"... do you mean removing avast?

Or do you mean they installed a program so they could access your PC like teamviewer?
Windows 10 Home 64-bit • Avast Free (latest stable version) •  Malwarebytes 4 Premium (On-Demand) • Windows Firewall Control • Google Chrome • LastPass • CCleaner • O&O ShutUp10 •

I read the original post...that's why I recommended Revo free. Most people use it when they cannot normally uninstall a program.

In addition to possibly remote access software, iYogi apparently supplies "Tools to keep your PC running fast" as part of their $199.99 annual support fee" The OP makes no mention of wanting to uninstall avast, either in the thread title, or the first post.
