The following files are in my Virus Chest
« on: June 18, 2005, 09:57:48 PM »
kernel32.dll
winsock.dll
wsock32.dll

After running a virus check on all of these, avast! determines that none of these are infected. Yet for some reason they found their way into my Virus Chest. Why are they there and what should I do with them?

Thanks.

Don't be worried about it. Files in the Chest are divided into three categories:

Infected file. avast! puts infected files into this category, if it is not told to delete the files directly.
User files. This is the only category the user can put files in.
System files. avast! copies important system files during the installation into this category.
