54 C.  That's way too hot. Here in Oklahoma we do hit the 30 C. to 45 C. range during those hot summer days. But 54 C. (129 F.) is really hot.
I'm not too sure about eating bacon and eggs fried on a shovel.

Yep I've done heaps of cooking on any metal clean surface up in Queensland & NT when I was camping a lot do out the holidays, and it safe a hell a lot of trouble during the day and at night back to the old fashion cooking way.

I hear ya, but we Canadians do love talking about the weather and where I live the colder the better!  Ahh the Canadian prairies, but getting back to "Feels like" wind chill, all I know is its darn cold!!  We are expecting warmer weather though in a couple of days.
