PLEASE DIRECT ME TO THE PAGE WHICH DESCRIBES THE "TERMS OF AGREEMENT" for the PURCHASED ONE YEAR OF SUPPORT ("TOTAL SUPPORT"). THIS SERVICE COSTS $179.99 FOR ONE YEAR OF TOTAL TECH SUPPORT FROM AVAST. I CAN'T FIND THE PAGE WITH THE TERMS. PLEASE HELP ME. THANKS VERY MUCH.

Sorry I can not answer your question since I am a regular avast! user, but why do you want to spend that kind of money when you can get even better help here in the Forums for free ?

BTW if you reached that Total Support by phone, it does not come directly from avast! but a third party support company. Sometimes they extend their duties and try to sell support packages using scaring tactics.

Notes from a victim of "Avast Total Support:"

  • The vendor is PlumChoice, not avast!--Google them; and
  • You must contact PlumChoice within five days to discuss a refund of your $179.99. Guess what? No one answers the direct support line in the first five days.

I have a Support Ticket complaint pending with avast!  Long story short: Not only did PlumChoice not resolve the original problem, they performed services in their remote session--without asking my permission--that not only did not resolve the original issue, but also deleted, corrupted or damaged system files and registry entries and removed all my automatic System Restore Points. Best avast! telephone support could do was schedule a callback from a "Super Tech." Another remote session in my future from a company against whom I have no recourse?
