This email is free from viruses...

"This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! Antivirus protection is active." now appears at the bottom of my outgoing emails with this new free version  - 2014.9.0.2011.

not seeing the usual Active Protection > Mail Shield under Settings where you'd normally turn this off - and i need to turn it off.

am i missing something?  any ideas?

You can remove the message from outgoing mail...

From the avastUI > Settings > Active Protection > Mail Shield > Settings (wrench iconl) > Behavior  - General section > "Uncheck" Insert note into clean message (outgoing)

thank you, found it.  it was the &^%$ wrench icon that lost me.   

i guess i'm old school - and was looking for 'settings'.  silly me.
