avast! Firewall NDIS Filter Miniport. Help!
« on: January 16, 2014, 02:03:11 PM »
Hello everybody,
So I was just cleaning my laptop, just doing some stuff and when i went to my device manager avast! Firewall NDIS Filter Miniport popped in network adapters. It had an error:
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

What can it be? How can I fix it?
Thank you

Firstly, make SURE that you ave the latest version of avast! installed.  Then, what worked fine for me, was to go into Device Manage and uninstall the avast! miniport that is showing the error.  Reboot.

Same thing happened to me a couple of months ago.  Apparently, avast! changed something in their firewall a few versions ago and does not use the miniport (or at least the miniport that shows up in the Device Manager) anymore.

Windows 10 (64bit); 8GB RAM; Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro; avast Free (latest version)
