i keep getting a program called connectso downloading into my extension of my settings of my google chrome. it (the program) changes my home page, and does a few other things that i have to change back. When i delete it, my computer runs slow and in have to reset my computer to get into anything. is there a way to make my avast program aware of this so it will not let it in again?

you probably have a browser hijacker .... usually classed as PUP = not virus / possible unwanted program
avast PUP detection is default off exept for in bootscan

follow instructions here and attach logs and help will arrive  http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
we need malwarebytes and OTL  logs
