Cannot exclude google https pages in Avast
« on: January 20, 2014, 06:24:04 PM »
How can I exclude this pages from the web shield ? Something like "https://*.google.com/*" in the urls should do it, right ? (Well it actually changes to "http://https://*.google.com/*" but I wouldn't mind that if it would work)

And btw, why is the statistics section so useless ? I cant copy paste stuff from there, I cant even scroll the list, seeing only the last 5 scans in there is so so frustrating when you try to exclude something...

Using Avast 2014 Home.

You can't exclude https in the web shield as it doesn't monitor https (secure, encrypted) traffic. That is why you can't enter https in the exclusions and why when you try avast appends the http to the URL.

So it is sort of excluded already in that https traffic isn't monitored by the web shield.

But then why does the scan animation show in the tray icon and the pages appear in the statistics section ?
