Software Updater launch helper error

Hi,

For the last few weeks I have been getting an error on two of my computers when logging in. A black popup with grey bar at the top appears but no details on it. There is no text or images or cickable parts on it. Task manager shows it is Software Updater launch helper from Avast.

How do I get it to work properly.

The software updater will show a little pop-up in the right bottom corner of your screen, not a bar at the top.
Perform a repair of avast and check if the problem is solved.
