When you run a scan with Ad-Aware, it opens files to scan them. These files are also scanned by the avast! on access scanner, which may detect something in them.
You should scan the file independently with avast! or do a full scan if you cannot remember the location.
There is a chance that a [Gen] warning will be a false alarm, but if you choose the 'move to chest option' you can restore the file later if it does turn out to be a false positive.
Submit the file to Jotti's virus scan for analysis: if only avast says it is malware, please submit the file to avast! for analysis.
