A few minutes ago I'm watching a YouTube video and outta the blue I get a new tab opening with avast! saying it blocked a URL. It was an IP Address, looked it up on VirusTotal (Surprisingly, it was scanned before there), rescanned and it was 0/51. Of course that isn't always accurate and I just wanted to ask if it is possible that this malicious URL + new tab had appeared because of YouTube/an ad on Skype?
EDIT: Looked up more on this, found a danish webpage that explains it's a banner ad that tries to download a fake version of MSE.
Assuming it's from Skype, and that's completely stupid since Microsoft should be careful with their fucking ads. Within the past few days I noticed more ads on Skype with a new banner one at the top of single calls. Skype is honestly terrible, they need to fix it.
